Mr. Suttie is an accomplished executive with a strong technology background.  Ian has extensive US and international experience (including Europe, Southeast Asia and South America) and his background spans a variety of industries including industrial automation & robotics, geomatics, electronic design, science & mathematics, financial, medical, education and ecommerce.

Ian started his career at S-S Technologies, where, as VP Sales & Marketing and later as President, he led the company’s growth from start-up to $25 million in annual revenue.  Since then, Ian has held a number of other executive management positions, including CEO of Waterloo Maple, COO of PCI Geomatics, and VP Marketing of both Electronics Workbench and Truition.  He has also served on the Boards of Directors of several private companies and high-profile industry associations.

Today, Ian works with young entrepreneurs, helping them turn their "big ideas" into successful businesses.  He provides his clients with CEO advisory services, strategic and operational consulting and embedded executive engagements.  In addition, he works as a Volunteer Advisor at MaRS where he consults with emerging technology companies.

Ian holds an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Bachelor of Engineering Science degree from the University of Western Ontario.
