Talk to Donna with Dean McLean

Dean McLean and Denise Glazier are from Prince Edward Island and like all good people from the Maritimes, they love their seafood! 

 

When they arrived in Ontario back in 1999, they began looking for markets that sold fresh seafood, and much to their dismay, they found nothing could compare with what they had back home. 

 

Being entrepreneurial, and since they couldn’t find it - they founded it! It was a seafood market that would replicate a taste of the Maritimes. They opened their own gourmet seafood market in trendy Kerr Village and now 13 years later, The Mermaid and the Oyster Gourmet is going strong with Dean shucking thousands of Oysters each week.  

 

On June 16th, The Mermaid and the Oyster will be sharing their love of seafood at the Village Lobsterfest being held in Kerr Village. 

 

The festival features Bay of Fundy lobsters and all you can each PEI mussels! To compliment the food there will be plenty of live musical entertainment. 

 

Find yourself in Kerr Village on June 16th and bring Dad along to celebrate Father’s Day a little early!
