Nicholas Snow welcomes DRAGSTRIP 66: THE FROCKUMENTARY co-directors Phil Scanlon and DJ Paul V. With Mr. Dan, Paul co-created Dragstrip 66 in Los Angeles in January 1993 (just as Bill Clinton was sworn in), and for two decades, was the inclusive safe space for ALL kinds of people - gay, straight, bi and trans. Once a month, a neighborhood Mexican restaurant on a nondescript corner in Silver Lake was transformed into a beloved destination for music, dance, fashion and performance art. Much more than just a dance club, Dragstrip 66 was an irreverent and decadent celebration of self-expression, community, and imagination that invited everyone to participate in its misfit-inspired magic.
