In 2001 I began searching for Ma (Mother) on the Internet. At that time, there was almost no information about her...the one thing I encountered, completely by accident, was a photograph of a Maat statue ...I had no idea that Ma had anything to do with Maat, and so to look upon her image, a face I was already familiar with in the form of Maat, blew my mind open to the possibility that Ma was far more than I ever imagined her to be...it was at that moment, July of 2001 that I devoted my life to Ma as my goddess. Within a few months the terrorist attacks had taken place on September 11, 2001. Immediately I understood that 911 was a sign that had been reborn within my heart..the attacks and my enthusiasm for Ma gave me the impetus to declare my faith in Ma. I searched the Internet for others who also believed in Ma, but found no one. So I took it upon myself to declare myself a teacher of the way of Ma, and I made a solemn promise to do everything I could to re-found the ancient way of Ma in the modern world.
