This is a special Maverick Media segment because it will be airing at 1 p.m, eastern. rather than the usual 10 p.m. slot. This is to accommodate my guest, musical genius Ms. Patrice Rushen.

Ms. Rushen is scheduled for the first half-segment. For those who are not familiar with her career, it spans back to the mid-1970s. As a solo artist, her biggest hit was Forget Me Nots, which is from her Straight from the Heart album (1982). But in recent years Ms. Rushen is best known for becoming the first female the musical director for these prestigious awards shows: Grammy (2004-2006); in 43 years for the Emmys; and the NCAAP Image, which she worked for 12 consecutive years.

NOTE: The other half-segment scheduled with Dr. Roland S. Jefferson, author of White Coat Fever, did not go as planned. Maverick Media is working to re-schedule Dr. Jefferson at a later date.

The Maverick's been there, done it. Now he's written the book.
