Sci-Fi Night with Chris Berman

   The Maverick can’t say that he ever spent a night sleeping on Hollywood Boulevard waiting in line to see the premiere of Star Trek or Star Wars. But I’m sure a few of you out there are into the science fiction genre.

   This week also marks 40th anniversary of Apollo 11’s successful mission to the moon. Did you know that Neil Armstrong, who commanded the lunar vehicle Eagle, was down to about 5% -- or mere seconds – of remaining rocket fuel when he landed it on the lunar surface?

  Scheduled guest: Chris Berman, author of The Hive and his 2010 release Red Moon, will be discussing a variety of things pertaining to space, astronomy, and sci-fi entertainment. Mr. Berman has an extensive background in astronomy and he’s a spaceflight enthusiast; he’s also familiar with the space programs both in the United States and Russia. From where he resides in St. Augustine, Fla., he’s able to view the NASA launches.
