Connie Wanek is the author of three books of poems. She lives in Duluth, Minnesota, where she was a public librarian among other pursuits. In the fall of 2010 she was a visiting poet at Gustavus Adolphus College. Wanek's third book of poetry, On Speaking Terms, was a finalist for the MN Book Award and recently won the Northeast Minnesota Book Award. Her poems have appeared in many journals, including The Atlantic Monthly and Poetry. In 2006 she was named a Witter Bynner Fellow in Poetry of the Library of Congress.
