Twenty years ago Congress established as part of the Health Care Quality Improvement Act of 1986 a National Practitioner Bank, an electronically repository of all payments made on the behalf of physicians in connection with medical liability settlements and judgments as well as adverse peer review actions againsts license, clinical privileges and professional society memberships of physicians and other healthcare practitioners.
The question is why is it no one knows about this but them? And why can't you utilize it so you can find out if your doctor has a criminal history?
