Ms. Eleanor Chatman 1s a pioneer in the world of International Travel.
As a true educator, she believes that world travel permits African Americans to expand beyond the borders of the United States and acquire an understanding of the fact that we have a world history.
In 1976 her business was approved by the Air Traffic Conference of America. She then opened Mahogany Travel Service. In 1991, Mohagany was sold to Johnsons Publishing Company.
She remained true to her first love and maintained her core mission under the name of Africa Travel Advisors. After nearly 45 years in the industry, she has been referred to as the Queen of the Black travel movement. To know Ms. Eleanor Chatman is to know how legacies are built and sustained.
