MIKE LYNCH sci-fi author, historian, Christian, husband, father and intergalactic wise guy graduated San Jose University in 1986 with a degree in history, after initially pursuing an engineering major. He worked as a teacher and office worker, before beginning to write back in 1995. Mike is inspired to write about far off worlds or the world we live in here on Earth, and takes his readers on interstellar battles with hostile enemies or planetary situations where the government controls every aspect of our lives. Mike’s first book, the non-fiction Dublin, came out in 2007. It chronicles the journey of his great-great-grandfather who left Ireland with his family in 1840, ultimately helping to settle a small town east of Oakland called Dublin in the 1850s. That was followed by When the Sky Fell, American Midnight, The Crystal Portal, and After the Cross, which has been called “an intriguing blend of archeological thriller, historical mystery and love story.” His next novel, Love’s Second Chance, is scheduled to be released by Ellechor Publishing in 2013. He has also published numerous short stories in various magazines. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and two children. Mike’s website is www.mikelynchbooks.com.
