How do you keep yourself safe in an increasingly violent culture?  Physical strength is a helpful part of becoming empowered.  As a woman, being fit and healthy help us to have the self-esteem and energy to stay aware of danger that may threaten our well-being.  Even more important than that, though, is the proper mind set and tools for keeping ourselves safe.  Do you know the 4 survival rules for self-defense?  Our guest, former police woman Elsie Allen, will give share those and discuss why having a confident attitude takes you off the “victim” list.  She will also discuss how to select a good self-defense course.

Elsie Allen is the founder and CEO of Sisters S.O.S. (Supernaturally Overcoming Situations) and a frequent voice on the subject of Women's Personal Safety. For the past 20 years, Ms. Elsie has captivated audiences of both men and women from all walks of life with her safety workshops, Concealed Handgun License classes, and as a keynote inspirational speaker. Prior to establishing Sisters S.O.S., Elsie served the city of Fort Worth, TX as a police officer for seven years. She is keenly devoted to her calling, and well known by many for her passion, knowledge, enthusiasm, humor and sensitivity about personal safety matters. She is the survivor of two personal Domestic Violence relationships and takes great joy in empowering others for personal safety.
