 The Essence of Scottie Barnett

As a child growing up, I was always surrounded by music whether it was Blues,

jazz, R&b  there was still music to enjoy Jazz inspired me with its attention to detail

over the instrumentation, arrangements that were intricately woven to perfection.

In my music, I try to emulate the greats Miles Davis Coltrane, Herbie Hancock just to 

name a few, the art of storytelling through  is what I strive for as each day passes 

there is always some experience whether it's love, hate, anger  these

emotions bring us all together in some form.
