Hoped for more to life? Think it's too good to be true & could only happen in your dreams? Wondered if you had a future, felt no control over what your future held? When Finley was 3 her mom divorced her dad who was a member of organized crime. She became bitter. At age 4, her mother remarried an alcoholic who was physically/mentally abusive so didn't foresee having a future. At 15 she sat next her dad when a man walked in the room & murdered him w/a shotgun. I was untouched. It wasn't natural,said Finley It's supernatural.Due to the trauma I was unable to speak & doctors said I may never speak again. But I had a godly grandma-due to her prayers I was able to speak again. I dedicated a whole chapter to her, "Power in a grandma's prayers". I didn't go to counseling or take medicine, not that there's anything wrong with that. It's just,many people ask that ? & the answer's no. Many use medicine & still don't get help they need. I know the great physician that can help you. The Lord was my counselor & his word(bible)brought healing to my body, mind, & spirit. It's not natural, but we have a supernatural God that despite our circumstances can help us rise above them to walk in a higher realm of life. His words(scriptures)are not as natural words that appear in other books or newspapers, but his word(bible)is full of power, they're spirit & life! Let's dwell in that secret place, where there's peace, protection and strength. As a child i had a secret hiding place, but it was only temporary, now i have a spiritual hiding place that can't be taken away and so thankful that its always available.Do you have a secret hiding place? Those who dwell in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty If then you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, sharing His resurrection from the dead],aim at & seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth. As far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, Who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in [the splendor of His] glory. Col 3:2 amplified If you have made the most important spiritual decision in your life by receiving Christ then there are promises you are entitled to to enjoy while you are still here on earth. God declares in Jer 29:11 that his plans for you are to do you good, not to harm you, but to give you hope and a future. Even as he walked...
No other form of transportation was available in the day
They were carriers of information and walked a long long way
In sandals that were made without comfort being in mind
to protect the bottom of their feet, was the only reason why
To bring a message of power, whether it took a week or more
They knew of the importance of speaking for the Lord
His words were filled with power and every time that they were spoke
Faith in hearts were created and hearts were healed, that once were broke
There’s something much more lovelier than the look of pretty shoes
How beautiful are the feet of them that bring good news.
