Today we are discussing the reporting laws, neighbor and family accountability, updates in laws, and Judging Eyes - Society often dismisses the distressing signals of harm. There are countless cases of child abuse or domestic violence which are brought into court only after a severe injury or death. When should we report this and who should we hold accountable if something deadly does occur? There is usually at least one person who knows something is going on inside a challenging home, so what part do these persons play in the horrible outcome? We prosecute these cases much differently than a typical crime, so what laws need to be in place? What services would be most beneficial and what types of training should we provide to our professionals and communities.
