HBO's Movie "Taking Chance" stars Kevin Bacon - Reviewed by Former Marine Officer David Danelo

Our guest will be David Danelo, former Marine Officer and author of two books: Blood Stripes: The Grunt’s View of the War in Iraq and The Border: Exploring the US-Mexican Divide. Mr. Danelo writes regular articles for the U.S. Naval Institute’s flagship publication, Proceedings and has written a review of the HBO movie, Taking Chance which airs Feb 21, 2009. HBO’s movie, Taking Chance was written by Ross Katz and Michael Stobl. The movie is a dignified rendering of Marine Corps Lt. Col Michael Stobl’s escort home of a Marine slain in Iraq. It pays tribute not only to those who have died in battle, but also to all who bear witness to their final journey home.
