Hollywood announced that a biopic on Black singer, Aailyah would be coming to the small screen on Lifetime TV.

Debate began when an actress who could who' nuff pass for white (but is actually mullato) was cast as the R&B Princesses with detractors on both sides.

The big question: Is it ok for Black "heroes" to be whitewashed on film - even if the person portraying them is half Black?
