Gary Culp is a well-seasoned student of Mayan astrology, the Maya calendar and its cosmology. A Methodist minister for many years, he converted to interfaith persuasion some 30 years ago. For 18 years he served as the coordinating minister of Pebble Hill, an interfaith community in Bucks County, PA, and was a founder of the Interfaith School of Sacred Ministry associated with that church in Doylestown. He was synchronistically introduced to the Maya Calendar during the Harmonic Convergence and in the early 90's began a serious pursuit of its story and archetypes. Since his retirement from Pebble Hill in 2001, he has spent the last ten years teaching and publishing calendar projects designed to awaken the collective consciousness to a kinder world, unified and synchronized around a "new day one" concept. "December 21st, 2012 is a new zero point in the calendric system of the ancient Mayan culture. It is a perfect transmutation time for the planet to embrace the end of time as we know it and begin a New Day One," welcoming a shift into a new global paradigm of unity, harmony, and peace consciousness. He and his life partner moved to Mexico four years ago and his pursuit of Mayan culture studies has deepened and solidified his conviction. With the aid of the evolving global communications he believes that it is now possible to bring the collective consciousness of the planet to a new and more feminine paradigm of egalitarian and inclusive unity.
