Donna Lyons Interviews Kelli Lewis From The "Boyz And The Beez"

“The Beez” began back in 2011 as an Acappella vocal trio performing “Swinging Telegrams” and playing for venues local to their hometown.  Before they knew it… a swing band was added “The Boyz” thus the name “Boyz and the Beez” erupted onto the scene and they’ve been progressing ever since!

First aired on KJAZZ 88.1 featured as “The Wagman’s Top 10 Indie Pick” Boyz and the Beez (along with 9 other bands) were placed on an iPod which is now considered a collectors item!  Shortly after they were chosen for the iPod the trio recorded a radio jingle for this same station, which has been played daily ever since!  From there Boyz and the Beez have recorded numerous radio jingles for other stations including Rockabilly famed Radio Station Owner and Radio Host, Tom Ingram.

Soon after a radio station in the UK (Abbey 104) picked up their music and started playing them regularly and another in Spain.  Now their music is played on numerous radio stations worldwide!

Boyz and the Beez perform regularly at some of the top venues in Southern California to include one of the major theme parks, The Sky Room, Don the Beachcomber and Rusty’s Rhythm Club. In addition, they perform at festivals, summer concerts and private events.

Recently Boyz and the Beez were aired on a CBS Special with television personality “Bill Nye the Science Guy.”

Boyz and the Beez JUST RELEASED CD entitled “Jukebox” is receiving great attention and has been submitted for Grammy consideration.
