Viki Winterton interviews Rebecca Pillsbury!

Given the choice between chocolate or sex, Rebecca always chose chocolate. That is, until a series of transformational experiences caused her to let go of three decades of sexual repression and shame.

While growing up in a small city in Wisconsin, the lessons of her church, school, and community ingrained a sense of shame and fear around sexual expression that she carried with her into her adult life. It wasn't until she left her hometown to independently travel throughout Argentina that she would discover a new interpretation of God, as well as meet a man that would help break the cycle of sexual suppression that had kept her from embracing life to its fullest.

With a commitment to spreading joy and inspiring others to let go of shame and let shine their light, Rebecca unabashedly reveals her own vulnerability so that others may feel safe exploring their own.

She currently resides in Portland, Oregon, though you may not find her there year-round—a vagabond spirit cannot be tamed. You'll have better luck finding her via her blog at where you can also learn more about her upcoming memoir, "Finding Ecstasy," a 2013 prize winner in Christine Kloser's "Transformational Author Experience" writing contest.
