Join Susan Dobbe Chase in a conversation with Sam Sellers, (a.k.a RABBI DARKSIDE) a Buffalo-born Brooklyn-based Hip Hop Artist/Educator, rocking the world as MC, DJ and Beatboxer. In 2008, he released his internationally acclaimed debut LP, "Building the Better Bomb," starred as Head Coach on MTV’s “MADE” and toured the U.S., Europe and South America. The last year saw 3 tours abroad, including the 2009 Get Up Stand Up European tour with the legendary J-LIVE, and the release of "Skillz to Take Brazil," the world's first "international, multi-lingual, documentary Hip Hop album." His always-expanding discography includes appearances on records from Germany, Denmark, France, the UK, and the Czech Republic.

A renowned freestyle artist, Rabbi D has won a number of prestigious MC battles  As DJ, he has spun in New York’s most esteemed clubs all while maintaining a 4-year Saturday night residency. His beatboxing is featured on MTV.com in instructional tutorials, and in countless live performances.

In addition to his artistry,he has worked for 10 years in the New York City Public Schools. Currently he is an Arts Educator for Urban Arts Partnership, developing groundbreaking rap-based test prep curriculum ("Fresh Prep") and teaching performance poetry. In the span of one year, Rabbi D wrote and recorded a 4 album/51 song collection of standards-based academic rap songs covering content in U.S. History, Global History, English Literature and Algebra.
