Born in Bristol, TN and raised in Evansville, IN, Adam became captivated by the power of the spoken word through his participation in the Bruno E. Jacob National Championship Forensics team and regionally-acclaimed Theatre Department at F.J. Reitz High School. In 2001 he received a full scholarship to Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY, where he helped the William E.... Bivin Forensics team become the most successful speech and debate program in history--capturing several state, regional, national, and world titles. In 2005 he attended his first National Poetry Slam tournament in Albuquerque, NM, where he placed fifteenth in the nation among hundreds of poets. In 2008 he became a National Poetry Slam Semi-finalist competing for the Atlanta Java Monkey Team, along with national finalist teammates Gypsee Yo and Ch As. He has performed at over 40 universities, stretching from the University of California Los Angeles to George Mason University
