On this episode of the World of Ideas show, after the weekly review of the week, host Kasaun Henry commences the “Black Lives Series.” This series was provoked by the recent brawl at a McDonalds in Brooklyn, NY, where a group of black female teenagers assaulted one other black girl. Over the following weeks, Kasaun will explore a number of significant Black-American themes and issues to shed light on the state of black people in the twenty-first century. Some of these are, black identity, black solidarity, black culture and its triumphs and flaws, black education, incarceration, leadership and more. Kasaun attempts to clear the midst of the flawed perception of race and culture in America and lay down a path for positive change.

Tune in every Sunday, at 8:30PM EST.
