April 14th Word of Mom is spotlighting Autism Awarenss Month with Guest Janine Kruiswijk, the Executive Director of the Autism Society of the Greater Capital Region,New York.  She has many years of experience supporting families of children with exceptional needs, providing community leadership, and promoting policy changes on behalf of families and individuals. She has previously served as Executive Director of the Family Resource Network, Inc in Oneonta, NY, and worked in a statewide capacity with Families Together in NYS as their Statewide Director of Family Support and Education. Janine has her BS in Sociology from The College of New Rochelle.  She is the parent of four children, one of them with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
