Chaplain Barry graduated from the University of Dayton in 1965. He served with the U.S. Army until 1974 and received an Honorable Discharge at the rank of Captain. During his tour of service, Barry was both an Airborne Jumpmaster and an instructor pilot. He served in two combat areas, including Vietnam, where he was awarded a Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star, Army Commendation Medal with “V”, Air Medals, Purple Heart & Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Oak Leaf. Barry feels his status as a disabled veteran helps him assist other veterans whose experiences he has paralleled.

Barry dedicates his life serving our Lord Christ Jesus as an ordained Senior Chaplain with Chaplaincy Nevada where he currently serves as Director of Administration and currently serves as Chair of the Chaplaincy Advisory Board. Barry also serves with 10,000Kids (producer of Emmy nominee Trafficked-No-More) as Team Leader; METRO Human Trafficking Taskforce Partner; A Project Coordinator for Nevada Sex Trafficking Awareness Campaign under the tutelage of Pastor Troy Martinez, Co-Chair of the Southern NV Community Gang Taskforce on Human Trafficking; METRO RECAP (Reclaiming Every City Around Peace) First Responder; Red Rock Search and Rescue Chaplain Liaison; Clark County School District Police Chaplain Liaison; Mayor's Faith Based Initiative on Human Trafficking Moderator; and is a METRO Volunteer with approximately 17,000 hours of service during the last 11 years. Barry attends International Church of Las Vegas where he is a certified Maxwell Leadership Course Instructor.

Barry has approximately 40 years of experience in the securities industry. For the last 20 years, Barry is serving as an Arbitrator for the Financial Industries Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
