Debra McMullen of the Phoenix Women's Flag Football team (2016 champs of 25th Kelly McGillis Classic) and D.C. Divas tackle team,

Both teams are based in Washington DC, and Debra has been playing for over 33 years. She loves "football"!

We talk about both flag football and tackle, playing for the love of the game and how the two sports are intertwined.

Playing tackle, you have to "take the hits..... or else you will be cut from the team"

Their rosters may include any where from 40 to100 women on their team.

Ms. McMullen describes how women will start playing flag football, then will be recruited by tackle players, to finally go back to playing flag football until they retire.
