Brazil's appeal for global corporations reaches far beyond its location as the host of the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2016 Olympics . The country has surfaced in recent years as one of the largest emerging global markets. Brazil’s sustained economic growth over the past decade has transformed its reputation. It should come as no surprise, then, that major corporations like GE are looking to add Brazil as a feather in the cap of their portfolios.

In this podcast we'll speak to Alvaro Carvalheira, Director of Parts Logistics & Repair at GE Healthcare, Brazil, about the how GE was able to create a competitive edge in the spare parts business in Brazil. By developing a local infrastructure, having root fulfillment metrics and seting itself apart from the crowd by “integrating the local expertise together with the global process,” to address customers needs, GE was able to bolster customer experience and come out on top. Moreover, through their localized global strategy, they were able to identify and ship the right part at the right time to solve their customer’s problem;  A best practice that will ensure their success for years to come.
