Hi Everyone today's topic is my special guest Sheryl McCollum 's career as a Director of Cold Case Investigative Research Institute. Sheryl McCollum, MS has over 25 years of Criminal Justice experience that includes: Masters in Policing and Criminal Justice Currently Instructor of Criminal Justice in an Atlanta College and the Director of a local Cold Case Crime Analysis Squad and Director of the Cold Case Investigative Research Institute. P.O.S.T. Certified Instructor, served with a metro Atlanta Sheriff’s Department in Special Operations Division, obtaining the rank of Captain. Certified Hostage Negotiator, Certified Corrections Officer, Certified Crime Scene Technician. Former victim advocate in a metro court and prosecution offices as well as former State Director of Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Regular Guest Expert on the Nancy Grace Show. Recipient of President’s Award for Innovation 2009. Kaplan University Sheryl led the collaboration to form crisis teams in each venue of Georgia in which an Olympic event would be held in 1996. Sheryl responded to the 1996 Olympics when a bomb was detonated, she was also on a national team that traveled to Washington , DC after 911 and have responded to numerous other violent incidents. She is a trainer for members of visitors representing of other countries through the Georgia Council for International Visitors through the U. S. State Department by providing training on preparation for crisis response at a specific event such as the Olympics or any incident with injuries or casualties. Sheryl also is the author of the book "Cold Case Pathways to Justice" I hope you will join us for this really interesting show.
