Listen to Shannon McVey, and Tim Ray talk about the facts of domestic abuse, today's current news, the fight against hunger and much more...

Today's Awaken Star is Author, CEO & Breakthrough Coach, Michelle Jewsbury.
Michelle Jewsbury is an international philanthropist, speaker, author, and coach that has traveled the world as an advocate for the less fortunate. In August 2016, Michelle focused her efforts on ending domestic violence. Her desire to help victims of domestic abuse came from personal experience in such a relationship. In July 2017, Michelle founded Unsilenced Voices, a 501(c)3 nonprofit focused on inspiring change in communities around the globe by encouraging victims to break free and survivors to speak up about domestic violence and sexual assault.

Today's Goodwill Partner is the Co-founders of Indian American Council, Raj & Anna Asava.

Raj and his wife Aradhana (Anna) together launched the Indian American Council (IAC), a 100% volunteer group formed to raise awareness, improve engagement, and channel resources and contributions of the Indian American community through U.S.-based food banks. With a rallying cry of “Hunger Mitao!” (meaning “Wipe Out Hunger”) the IAC launched with an ambitious “Million Meal March” campaign. Within their first year of operation, working initially with the North Texas and Houston Food Banks, the IAC has now raised over 3.5 million meals.
