A pair of graded stakes races for older females are among the highlights of the final Saturday of racing before Saratoga opens: the Yellow Ribbon on turf at Del Mar and the Delaware Handicap on dirt at Delaware Park.
The Yellow Ribbon could produce Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf performers--especially considering that race is at nearby Santa Anita Park. The Delaware Handicap is at 1 1/4 miles and the favorite is giving weight to all contenders.
