The Fourth Branch with Debbie Carroll: County Misrepresents Parent’s Signature, Thursday, June 8, 2017, at 6-8 p.m. Pacific, 7-9 p.m. Mountain, 8-10 p.m. Central, and 9-11 p.m. Eastern.  Join researcher and parent Lisa Mitchell as she relates how Weld County Colorado collected funds for her son without her knowledge or consent, when the law requires periodic notification and authorization by the parent.

These funds appeared to have been distributed after the child was placed in Youth Corrections and collected for months, despite the laws that stop these payments when a child is incarcerated. How much money has the county collected over ten years in this child’s name?

Ms. Mitchell will report on how she obtained information about Wells Fargo accounts in her son’s name, and what laws the county has been violating to snatch the money from her son and, most likely, many other foster and incarcerated children. She has confirmation from the Social Security Administration that the county was putting her son’s benefits into the county’s Wells Fargo accounts. Her son has been maliciously prosecuted as a result of Lisa’s investigations. She will update us with what has happened to them as they pursue justice and transparency in the courts, the juvenile justice system, and state and federal agencies.
