I have not found your works perfect

The Lord admonished the church at Sardis for thinking they were spiritually alive and vibrant, but in fact they were spiritually dead. This church was operating in the realm of religion, which God hates. They were not operating out of a loving relationship with the One True God, and following the leading of the Holy Spirit. Is the church at large today doing religious works out of love and obedience that is born of the Holy Spirit, or are works being done out of tradition alone with our hearts being far from God?
