Her smokey, bluesy, jazzy voice singing everyone from Annie Lenox to Cab Calloway can be heard frequently in NYC’s top cabaret venues, and that alone would make Ellen Kaye a fun guest on Tomatoes in the Trenches. But Ellen also grew up at the fabled Russian Tea Room which her family owned until 1996, and wow, does she have stories to tell! And if that wasn’t enough, she is opening a new restaurant and entertainment venue in the theater district this fall, aptly named Moscow57 (which also produces records.) She’s fun, talented, smart, and a total Tomato.
