Welcome to the Mindful Change Exchange! I’m your host, Billie Frances, founder of Guiding Mindful Change. It is my joy to bring us to learn, share, and grow by expanding our awareness of what is, who we are and how we choose our experiences.

In today’s episode, my guest Liz Myers and I will discuss the various mindfulness techniques used to cultivate focus and relaxation. She will address strategies you can use to implement these vital practices in your daily living.  She will provide a guided meditation for you to enjoy as well.

As the Founder of Rooted Living Wellness Coaching, Liz has a strong background in coaching and counseling. She holds certifications as a Mindful Life Coach and as a Wellness Coach through the Guiding Mindful Change program. Additionally, she earned her Master of Arts degree in Counseling with an emphasis on Mental Illness and Substance Abuse. Her holistic approach to coaching embodies the need to address each level of being for your balance: mind, body, and spirit.

Her inspiration for serving caregivers comes from her personal and professional experiences as a caregiver. Beginning in 2012, a series of ailments began to infiltrate her life. She realized her imbalance came from always caring for others while neglecting her own needs and health in the process. Being faced with a cancer diagnosis in January, 2012, she knew that finding balance was critical to her survival. She is not only a cancer survivor but a "cancer thriver"! She is living a well life and she has successfully found the daily practices needed to nurture herself while she also provides healing nurturance to others. She focuses on supporting clients to cultivate mindfulness practices as well as their passions for living.
