Kathleen Leavy RN, AP

Dr. Leavy holds a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine and has been in practice for 23 years. She has taught Oriental Medicine for 21 years. She is a co founder of Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine along with her teacher Dr. Leon Hammer. She teaches at Dragon Rises and supervises in the Student Clinic.  She maintains a busy private practice and pharmacy. Kathleen has worked for the last 7 years with a computer software developer testing and creating “Acupuncture Practice Management System” specifically addressing GMP compliance requirements.

Kathleen has been married 34 years, has two daughters, and is expecting her third grandchild. Her youngest daughter is also an acupuncturist. She gardens, and is building a locally collected tinctured herb pharmacy as an adjunct to her Chinese herbal pharmacy. She continues her study of Chinese Medicine as well as ongoing study of medicinal herbs from around the world.
