Religion and Sexuality

The church insists that sex is God's gift to humankind.  Yet few organizations are more clumsy and repressive on issues of sexuality as the church.

What are the religious doctrines relating to sex, and how do they jive with the scientific explanations for intimacy, attraction, love, lust and the things we do in the dark (and in broad daylight).
