Ms. Millicent W. West is the Director of the District of Columbia Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency (HSEMA), serving in that capacity since November 2009. In her role she manages the day to day operations of an agency that is responsible for providing coordination support and emergency management services to local and federal responders in the nation’s capital.
Additionally, Ms. West acts as the State Administrative Agent for US Department of Homeland Security grants with responsibility for managing more than $300 million in federal grant dollars to State and local emergency response organizations in the National Capital Region.
