Robert Koch, Grunions (encore)

Our guest this morning is Robert Koch, Owner of Grunions in Manhattan Beach.

Robert moved to Los Angeles from San Diego in 1994 after graduating from San Diego State University.

He worked as a bartender while trying to make his way in the entertainment industry. He began working at Grunions in 2001 and became the owner in 2010.

Grunions has been a South Bay landmark since 1974 and this morning, we’ll learn the backstory of this treasured local’s hangout and the role it’s played in the community.
