This week the Publishing Insiders welcomes Grael Norton! Grael Norton, a publishing consultant with Tucson-based Wheatmark, Inc., comes from a family of authors and editors. His dad has worked as a freelance writer for more than 30 years—the last 20 of those years as a travel writer. His mom is an editor at Highlights for Children, and his sister edits publications for the Council on Foreign Relations in New York. But what really gets his blood rushing is the revolution that is happening in publishing today. In his current role, he specializes in teaching writers the ins-and-outs of selling their work using the twin powers of print-on-demand technology and the Internet. Prior to joining Wheatmark, Norton worked as an editorial assistant for Fodor's Travel Guides, a division of Random House, ran an Internet-based information business selling eBooks on the Web and authored five screenplays — one of which has been successfully produced. Norton is a graduate of Columbia University with a degree in French and Romance philology. Packed with insider scoop on everything publishing, host Penny C.
