If you knew white people were the “klan”, Would you go to them for help? If you knew their help would “lynch” you, Would you do things for yourself? Would you tell them all your business? And give them the upper hand? Would you send your children to them? If you knew they were the “klan”? Would you call the police on Black men? Or would you try to work it out? If they came to get him in “sheets and hoods”, Would you know what that’s about? If you knew they were going to hang you, From the nearest, tallest tree. Would you act a “fool” in public then? For all the “klan” to see? If you knew they “lynched” Black seniors, Would you move your Grandma out? Just to make some dollars, Off the profits of her house? If you knew they breed Black predators, In the prisons and in jails. Would you let them steal your history? And put it up for sale? In case you didn’t know it now, The “klan” are wearing suits. From uniforms to battle fatigues, And pinstripes in grey and blue. They make deals with Black leaders, To sell Blacks a “bill of goods”. But when you pull the layers back, They’re wearing “sheets and hoods.” A Black Panther (P.B.C.O.C.N.)
