What kind of mixed-up species? Would prey upon his own? What kind of mixed-up species? Would bring chaos to his home? What would make someone like this? Give up his own land? Give his people to his enemy? And sell out his brother man? Break the heart of his own mother, Cheat his woman with no regret. Break the spirit of his children, In ways they never can forget. Promote the progress of his enemy, And promote the downfall of his own. Until he’s snatched from his community, Leaving his children all alone. How could he, sell his family’s property, To go and live beside the whites. In fantasy and false belief. With those who took his people’s life. What, could they have done to him? To make him bend and fold? What did the devil promise him? To make him sell his soul? The Creator said, “don’t worry”, “Though my enemy seems large”. “My enemy uses trickery”, “But I am still in charge”. “Though some, Black men sold their souls to him”, “And now their spirits lack”. “I’ve sent a thousand angels here”, “To get the Black men back”.
