A 2005 study published by the National Institutes of Health says almost half of all Americans will develop some form of mental illness during their lifetime and that many of those diagnosed first experience symptoms during their adolescent years. But in communities of color, the numbers may be more devastating because of the stigma involved. In this week's episode, Nancy sits down with Mental Health expert Dr. Randy Sconiers to discuss mental wellness, self-care for men, stigma, re-defining what it means to be a man and so much more.
