Jay Gordon

Jay Gordon - Smokey Cheltenham’s BBQ Jay Gordon grew up in a small neighborhood, down a dirt road with a train running through it, in Cheltenham, Maryland. Jay enlisted in the Army when he was 18, and returned to Maryland when he was 21. He worked numerous jobs before becoming a Real Estate Agent until the housing market crashed In 2008. Always a people person, Jay began a new career in the hotel Industry.  He moved to Los Angeles in 2011 to work at a hotel in Downtown LA. Jay took ribs he cooked to some of his new friends at the hotel. Everyone love them, and before he knew it he was providing food for department meetings and events. He realized he had something different than any food people in LA had tasted, so he decided to start a business. Still a small town boy at heart, Jay wanted to pay homage to his home town and the people down Cheltenham, Rd.  What better way than using the train as his logo. Being so proud of his home town, Smokey Cheltenham’s BBQ was born.
