“I’m a legend in this sport. If you don’t believe me, ask me.” The world of combat sports never sleeps so once again, the trio will have a lot to talk about this week in just a short time to do it. In the boxing world, Scott and Phil will give their thoughts on the recent and somewhat controversial GGG-Canelo match that ended in a rare draw, and share how they would have scored the bout. They’ll also talk about the retirement of Andre Ward and the passing of Jake LaMotta, the boxer whose life inspired the movie, Raging Bull. It is another death unfortunately which has been at the forefront of the professional wrestling world over the past week, as Bobby “the Brain” Heenan passed away from complications from throat cancer. The trio will share their thoughts about Heenan and talk about the impact he had on the sport as well as his place in history as the best manager of all-time. Staying within WWE, the trio will have their usual pre-PPV roundtable, as they talk about all things No Mercy and make their predictions for Sunday’s show. In addition, Cody Rhodes is making headlines again and it’s not because of his ROH title match tonight against Minoru Suzuki, although the trio will talk about the historic occasion as it is Suzuki’s first US match in over 20 years. They’ll also address the decision to bring back Starrcade as a Smackdown house show/network special and the possibility that Rhodes might work that show. And if there is time left, we’ll talk about the trio’s favorite topic, Global Force Wrestling and all of the various news, from Bound for Glory’s venue announcement, Jim Cornette leaving, and another possible name change.
