So much to talk about and 3 hours may not be enough this week. The top story this week obviously is last Saturday's Mexican superbout between Canelo Alvarez and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. And while that bout failed miserably to live up to expectations, the bout that was announced immediately following Canelo-Chavez Jr. promises to be a potential fight of the year candidate. In the MMA world, there's plenty to talk about this week between Bisping-GSP being called off, Anderson Silva playing hardball in his UFC 212 negotiations and losing, and the injury bug hurting next week's Bellator 179 card. Puroresu gets some air time this week with a belated update on the condition of Katsuyori Shibata, an update on New Japan's Dominion card on June 11th, some talk about a certain six-person tag that took place on Friday, and a retirement announcement (serious this time) from a Japanese hardcore wrestling legend. In American pro wrestling, the two biggest stories of this past week easily were the announcement of Sinclair Broadcasting buying Tribune Media Company, and Daniel Bryan letting it slip out when he will be getting back into the ring.
