Shelia Hobson, Peer Counselor, Supervising Mental Health Specialist with the Cop2Cop Program. Ms. Hobson is also the Chaplain for NJWLE she also serves as the assistant Chaplain for NOBLE. Ms Hobson has been a Licensed Ordained Minister and Associate Pastor with Grace Baptist Church since 2003. She is a retired Lieutenant from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office with over 25 years of experience in law enforcement. In her role as Lieutenant of homicide Lieutenant Hobson was instrumental in affecting the arrest of the suspect who took the life of Police Officer Joyce Carnegie. Lieutenant Hobson also assisted in the apprehension of the rape suspect who had terrified unsuspecting women in the East Orange, Orange and Newark area. Ms. Hobson has received numerous Awards, Letters of Appreciation, and Letters of Commendation during her twenty seven years in Law Enforcement. In 2002 Ms. Hobson was recognized for all her achievements by the African American Law Enforcement Association. In 1999 and 2008 she received the President's Award from the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives for her contributions and achievements.
