On this program, hosts Ron Bachman and Doug Field talk with special guests from Viverae, Accolade and Jiff.

The first guest is Jeff Brizzolara, PhD, MPH, chief clinical officer for Dallas-based Viverae. As a thought leader and subject matter expert in the area of total population health management, Dr. Brizzolara will join the hosts for an in-depth discussion on the cost of chronic diseases to employers and why every employer should consider implementing a disease management component to their wellness program.

For the second segment, Rob Cavanaugh, president of field operations at Accolade, joins the program to discuss the findings of their latest health care consumer Harris Poll survey. This survey is a state of the union on the health care consumer -- and it’s not a pretty picture. People are confused and not able to manage their health care properly. In fact, people are more comfortable buying a home or car than they are navigating their medical benefits and today’s health care system. Less than half of consumers are using the services and tools available to them through their health plan or employer. Eighty percent of consumers say it would be valuable to have a single, trusted source to help them with all their health care needs.

The third guest will be Mary Cain, senior director of clinical strategy and behavior change at Jiff. Mary has spent over 20 years developing health and well-being solutions across the care continuum. In this segment, we discuss what really motivates people to change and how to leverage behavior change science in your employee health and well-being programs. Learn how Mary and her team at Jiff help their customers meet employees where they are, offer benefits that are truly a benefit and improve health and productivity among their populations.
