First Guest: ( topic Mental Abuse) What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Dynamic influencer Tamika L. Sims is living proof of this.
Tamika survived a physically, sexually and emotionally abusive relationship of eight years. It was her passion to see others rescued from the pain of abuse that led to the release of her debut novel “The Plus Factor.” Her efforts were rewarded in 2012 with her receiving the “BWABC Literacy Rocks! Author Award.”
Tamika is a frequent lecturer at the University of South Carolina where The Plus Factor is used as required text in the Department of Women and Gender Studies.
Tamika serves as an expert in the areas of domestic and sexual violence for numerous NBC, FOX, and CBS affiliates.
