On this week's episode, Eli & Toni chat with guest Dr. Amy Vaughan, a pediatric occupational therapist who is passionate about supporting children and families in living life to the fullest. Over the last 20 years she has worked in the hospital setting, private and public school settings, early intervention and community settings. She is currently working to develop a collaborative care model in Missouri for primary care that includes a physician, mental health specialist, occupational therapist, and parent educator.
She is an author, professor, and public speaker. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics through the American Occupational Therapy Association and she is currently the president of the Missouri OT Association. Books Include: Positively Sensory (2014) Autism: What Schools are Missing (2019)—2 chapters. Variety of magazine articles related to positive behavior and positive family routines & adoption and foster care.
