Mike McNamara AMAA Masters "Parts Unknown" Radio Interview 

When you think of a Top Ten Rated fighter, a professional Judge, History General for the Sport Karate Museum, Law enforcement and security of a Major Professional Sports Team in America, you have to think of Mr. Mike McNamara or "Mac " or he has been called by some of his dear friends through the years .

His lineage is celebrating (50) fifty years in sport Karate. That is a long time to be punching and kicking in the ring and on the street with Law enforcement. A true gentleman and you would not know just talking with him that he was dangerous in real karate where life and death was on the line being a police officer and we salute you for that, sir ,

He started his Black Belt Adventures in 1967 under Bob Barron and the legendary Ken Knudson R.I.P, who was one time Bruce Lee's Body Guard, owned a chain of karate studios in the Chicago area, he was one of the first History Generals of the Sport Karate Museum.
Mac went to the top quickly with his unique way of fighting and dominated the regional ratings 1970 through 1980, his best years of being a rated fighter was 1976 though 1980 and breaking into a National Top Ten Rating in 1972.

Then we talk about when he was introduced to professional Judging of the new sport "Kick Boxing " and soon became as one of the best judges in the business.

For the Past Eight years, he is one the inspectors of the Boxing Commission and co-leader of the Illinois Boxing Hall of Fame held to honor men and women of the pugilist sport.
He worked in Law enforcement for many years and left recently as the Deputy Chief of the Park Force Police Department an outside community outside of Chicago.
