In this week's episode of The Urban Woman Radio we will discuss a number of topics:

In our first segment we will discuss the new school year.  School has been back in session for exactly one month. How are your children doing in school ? Have they already fallen back into their old habits ? How do you keep your children focused

We will be taking a closer look at Pupilpath.  According to the Bayside HS. website:
Pupil Path is a student information system for parents and students. Pupil Path allows parents and students to view important student and school information such as student attendance records, class schedule, assignment due dates and grades, graduation eligibility, school announcements, and more. This is
a convenient tool for both parents and students to keep up with class work and student performance.

I love Pupilpath because it allows me to keep track of my child's progress on a daily basis. I do not have to keep asking: Did you get your test back ? How do you think you are doing ? The answer from my 6th grader  is always "great" but as my 13-year old says:" Pupilpath says otherwise."

I also enjoy being able to interact with the teachers and receive reminders about upcoming projects etc. I feel less reluctant to reach out and ask questions about my child's progress.

Speaking of school, School Lunch is free for Middle School students in NYC. We will find out the reason for this...

In the entertainment segment we will discuss my two favorite shows.  Being Mary Jane and Power.  Here is quiz ? What is the common denominator in these two shows....

Looking forward to joining you this Sunday...
